Role Overview

- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the rearing and monitoring of calves, yearlings, and mature cattle, including feeding, health checks, and weaning processes.
- Support milking operations (for dairy stock), pasture management, and rotational grazing.
- Handle basic veterinary tasks under supervision, such as vaccinations, dehorning, and parasite control.
- Maintain farm infrastructure, including fencing, water systems, and equipment operation (tractors, ATVs).
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand’s animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols.
- Participate in calving season support and herd movement across paddocks.
This is physically demanding work suited to team players who thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and on-call duties during peak seasons.
